Innovation, Fitting in with People and Experience of Being on the Right Track

Innovation, Fitting in with People and Experience of Being on the Right Track

Hey, this is Justin. So I've been thinking a lot about innovation and changing behavior and the mere fact of changing behaviors, doing things that are against the grain and against the norm and requires thinking that might be abnormal to other people.

But there is something that there's like a sense of wanting to fit in and, and being like, a contributing social human being right, and to have relationships with people based on what we're working on, and are just based on some of the norms, and people like to be different and experience things differently. But everybody's got their range of like, what too far outside of the box is, for them.

And when you get, you know, you get outside of the box in a direction, that doesn't necessarily make sense, it becomes disruptive to them now, when we start to impart that on ourselves, and don't do things because of what can be perceived as sort of the norms or breaking the norms, that's when we start to run into trouble and get ourselves into trouble and cause trouble in other places.

And I've seen myself sort of discounting, even throughout the day, I was like, I just want to do these, like, this is what I want to do, I just want to be able to create audio messages and then launch them out into the world and then see what happens.

And it's, it's an exercise, and it's a behavior that makes me happy and feels like, you know, after doing this for 10 years, it's not going to stop and it comes back and forth. And the only thing that stopped is it's just, it's different, right? It's different than what anybody else does, and a different way of being able to operate. So I've got to continue to one, practice the habit and you know, do the work.

Number two get better at turning these things into 10 or more usable for other people. And then number three, really, as the emotions start coming up, and we start to discount some of the things that we're working on. It gets.

That's where we got to what's the word? That's where you got to continue to, to proceed. So we're probably on the right track. If things are starting one, it's on the right track that's starting to feel natural.

And then number two, if it's feeling a bit uncomfortable, if thoughts are coming up as far as discounting the stuff that we're doing, that's probably also an indication of being on the right track and another potential breakthrough.
